Gwenn Nolan started a logistics company more than she started a composting business.
In part 2 of our interview with Gwenn we dive into the operational side of the business. We explore what she’s learned in order to scale because food scraps, compost, and saving the planet is only a small part of Mother Compost,
As leader she shared that she learned not to verbally process every thought and idea with her team. She also had to figure out the most effective way to pick up food waste and drop off compost during road construction,
Scaling has been a process. One that Gwen believes shouldn’t be rushed because each step informs the next one.
With her unshakable belief that small actions can create big impacts, Gwenn has focused the team on providing an incredible service to the people & place she calls home.
Gwenn has continued to fuel her passion for the planet and give back to the local community by teaching the positive impact of composting & creating awareness about making less waste. She also works as a technical expert for local municipalities on 10-year solid waste and sustainability plans to help adapt to our changing climate.
